FAIRHAVEN — The Rose Alley Isotopes scored three runs in the seventh to force extra innings before falling in the eighth, 16-14, to the Outlaws at Cushman Park Tuesday night.

“We battled back and showed a lot of heart,” coach Jon Darling said after the game. “The Outlaws scored five more in the eighth and we were able to get three back before coming up just short.”

As usual, Yim led the Topes (7-2) on offense with a 3-for-3 day with a towering home run and a pair of doubles before being intentionally walked in the last inning. Darling (4-for-4), Mike Rocha (3-for-4) and Kenny (2-for-3) chipped in with nice games at the plate.

The Isotopes are back in action Thursday against the Misfits in Westport at 6 p.m.
