Decent NBA Finals: Nuggets vs. Magic

There’s nothing more not-decent than overhype, and the potential Lakers vs. Cavs, LeBron vs. Kobe finals has become the most over-hyped sports moment in the last 67 years.

Banner ads on ESPN.com read “Kobe and LeBron on a collision course.” Nike and Vitamin Water have commercials featuring the two that just so happen to appear as the conference finals were beginning. Plus, who wants to see a sissy matchup of Cleveland’s Anderson Varejo and L.A. Sasha Vujacic?

Bring on the Nuggets-Magic. It may be the NBA Finals with the lowest ratings EVER, but I can’t stand any more Kobe/LeBron battles of who can whine their way to the most calls from the refs. Let’s watch some good basketball without all the over-mega-hype. Good luck Denver and Orlando.

  1. Couldn’t agree with you more Fugaze. The NBA and media want a Kobe/Lebron final WAY too much. It’s gotten to a point where the refs are giving those two every goddamned call. It’s way too forced — I’m happy to see the Nugs and Magic with great shots at the finals. They’re playing better TEAM hoops.

While we’re on the subject, can everyone please get off Lebron’s junk???? The King or The Chosen One hasn’t won shit, and if you asked me, his play is a bit erratic. Jacking up shots everywhere. He’s only good because he’s a freak athlete, but his game is nowhere near as good as people give him credit for.
