Topes doubleheader postponed

FAIRHAVEN — Oceanic field conditions brought by hours of downpouring rain forced the postponement of both Isotopes games Tuesday.

“This is just another reason why public funds need to be appropriated for an indoor facility the Topes can call home,” coach Jon Darling said. “It seems the only thing that can stop the Topes is Mother Nature.”

The first game against KMP will be made up as part of a double-header on June 30. A make-up date for the second game was not available at press time.

The Rose Alley Isotopes will be back in action Wednesday against the Misfits in Westport at 6 p.m.
