This Week’s Monday Morning Post: Spelling Letters

Monday morning is quite often the most difficult posting time. The Monday Morning Post is often made difficult because of consumption of multiple beverages from the following Thursday - Sunday making creativity and decency difficult to obtain. Thus, Decent Community is launching its Monday Morning Post initiative. The goal of this project is to a) Allow us one post a week to just vent and, b) Create an open forum where Decent Community Members can post anything that’s on their mind without judgement and/or pressures that being decent creates.

A similar concept, at least in my head, to the smells that smell like tastes routine, is the concept of spelling letters. I suspect this would be a sobriety test question from hell! I’m talking about the literal spelling of letters as if they were words. For example, I would spell the letter “A” as such “aye”, the letter “B” as “bee”, and “W” as “doubleyou”

Are there any letters that cannot be spelled?

A fun thing to do sometimes is to strap on your favorite pair of jorts, get together with a bunch of buddies and talk about spelling letters. There really is nothing better than a stimulating conversation about the properties of language.

  1. How do you spell “Q” - Kwew?

  2. “Q” = Queue?

  3. The question arises- Can you use the letter to make the dominant sound in the letter’s spelling?

  4. Valid question. I think it’s impossible if you don’t use the letter in question.

  5. Sounds like PC is looking for a better nickname. In keeping with this post, hows about Pee Sea. You will notice that the second portion did not require the letter in question.

  6. Is there any other way? Where else would you go at the beach?
